Holiday Gift Guide: Husband Edition

This year for Christmas I already have an “experience” gift planned for Tim to a sporting event that we want to attend. I also have a few little items for him that I can’t share here because he reads the blog 🙂 However, I wanted to share some gifts I have given him on recent occasions or that he knows he is getting this year. I called it the husband edition but these gifts would be great for all the men in your life!

Patagonia Men’s Better Sweater Vest – $99

We love Patagonia in this house. We each only have a couple pieces – but they are so well made that they become staples. I am eyeing this Better Sweater Vest for Tim to add just a little warmth to a button down without dressing it down.

Bosch Impact Driver – $115-150

I had bought Tim a Bosch drill a few years ago – before I knew this existed. I got him this last year. Apparently it makes drilling in *way* easier and with having a house full of projects I want completed – it has been a great gift (that keeps on giving back to me!) You can go a variety of routes with purchasing this and accessories that will make it more money. I have kept to buying all Bosch branded tools for Tim so he can interchange the batteries between them. They are also a really highly rated brand!

North Face Men’s Apex + Etip Glove – $55

Living in Wisconsin winters calls for a variety of gloves. Tim was looking for a new pair that provided a little more mobility for outdoor work and playing with Charlie while also looking good and providing needed warmth. He tried on a bunch of pairs at the North Face store and these fit the bill!

Men’s Dress Boot/Shoe – Varies

A nice versatile leather boot is great for fall/winter/spring. It can be worn with jeans or slacks and can be dressy or casual depending on the rest of the outfit. It also keeps feet protected when there is a few inches of snow on the ground – which will be pretty much every day for us soon. These are a great pair, but there are tons of great options out there depending on your needs! One important thing to look for its the bottom tread – you don’t want something slick when walking on snow and ice.

Wireless Meat Thermometer – $36

Confession: I actually asked for this for me, but I think it would be great for any man in your life. It can be used for grilling, stovetop or oven cooking and you can take the display with you so you can go about your other activities and are alerted when your meat is ready. I can envision us using this a lot with our outdoor grill when we are still inside, or with our oven when we are down in the basement waiting for our dinner to be ready!

Happy Shopping!
